Chef Raven poses with the Senior Sunrise poster!

Alright, buckle up for a laugh-filled ride! Teachers, the unsung heroes of the classrooms, gather around to share their most embarrassing cringe-worthy moments. From forgetting names to hard to forget accidents, these stories will have you giggling at your favorites in the building. Get ready to appreciate the lighter side of education and the incredible ability of teachers to laugh at themselves!

Don Wells, CTE Educator

“Dr. Quinn, at the time was an AP, was showing me around. This was during covid, so I didn’t really know who the principal was. So he [Dr. Quinn] decided to take me to the gym, and the first person to walk up to me was Mr. Diggs, so the whole time I’m thinking this is my boss, the principal. Now I never met Mr. Hicks, but I would always get emails from Mr. Hicks, now I’m like who is Mr. Hicks?! Like I’ve never seen him, he never once approached me, I don’t know who he is. So the whole time I’m thinking Mr. Diggs is the principal and Mr. Hicks is just someone on the side.”

For about two weeks this went on and Mr. Wells’ continued to think and treat Mr. Diggs as the head not knowing who the real big boss of the building was.

Mr. Scott Coleman, Driver’s Education

“When I won the state championship in 2019, and to celebrate winning the championship, I ran out into the field and popped my hamstring. The video had over 105 views in just 20 minutes on Instagram or something.”

After falling over his victory, Coach Coleman had to go through rehabilitation for his injury that summer. He sure did get his five minutes of fame to say the least!

Mr. Robert Dorazio, History Educator

“When we were virtual and my kids were taking a test. My camera was on. I was sitting at the desk and then got a cramp in my leg. I start flailing about trying to stretch out my leg.. and the kids in the chat ask “are you okay,” and I told them I had a cramp and they started LOLing in the chat.”

Mr. Dorazio’s painful moment turned into a very funny incident for his students via google meet.

From getting body building poster projected at the entrance of the school, to tackling Mr. Diggs in a full football uniform, Mr. Hicks does everything for the Tribe! Just remember, teachers are able to laugh at themselves for the silly things they do so you can too!
