New Lunch Schedule

On February 5th, 2024 at 3:01pm an email was sent out by Stafford Senior High School’s new principal, Chelsea Tryon announcing another new and improved lunch schedule being implemented in the 2023-2024 school year.

In the email Tryon wrote,  “In our continuous effort to enhance the overall learning experience and ensure a safe educational environment, we have taken a thoughtful look at the current one-hour lunch period”.  She went on to write, “ As a result, we are implementing a change to this practice, effective Tuesday, February 20.”.

Starting February 20, 2024 lunch will be split into three 25 minute periods taking place during your third block class. First lunch will take place from 10:35-11:00, second lunch will take place from 11:10-11:35, and third lunch will take place from 12:05-12:30. This change will allow students to have more time in all of their classes and will decrease the amount of students per lunch block.

Mrs.Tryon explains that although it may be a drastic change to make mid-year, they have taken into account everything from student safety to instructional time and believe they have made the best decision. Students will still be able to receive remediation and support from teachers and will be able to request office hours with each teacher if needed on their own time.

To end the email Principal Tryon included, “We deeply appreciate your understanding and support as we strive to prioritize the best interests of our students. Your partnership is invaluable, and we thank you for your ongoing cooperation.”
