The biggest game of the NFL season, the Super Bowl, is now upon us. Two great teams with great players, and even greater stories, go head-to-head in hopes of grabbing glory. Fans are ready for the big laughs from the iconic commercials sprinkled into the spectacle. Rumors are flying about the halftime show: Is Kendrick Lamar bringing out a surprise guest? What songs will he perform? Whether you like football or not, the Super Bowl has something everyone can enjoy.
The past two years have been great, if you are a football fan in Kansas City, Missouri. As we know, the Chiefs won back-to-back Super Bowls, which is impressive in itself, but they now have a chance to make history. No team has ever had a ‘three peat’ of Super Bowl wins in NFL history, and with star players like Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, they could be the first. The Chiefs win so much that most of the country wants the Eagles to win, just so we can see another team hoist the famous Lombardi Trophy.

“Seeing Josh Allen sad brought out rage in me, so anyone but Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs I’m fine with winning the Super Bowl,” said Bills superfan Ethan Gillikin.
Two years ago, if you told me the Chiefs were going to have a three-peat, I would’ve laughed in your face, but with how things stand, The Kansas City Chiefs have a good chance of rewriting the history books.
Jalen Hurts and the Eagles are gunning for revenge due to a loss at the hands of the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. That devastating loss came down to a game winning field goal by Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker. This time, the Eagles could flip the script. Over this past offseason, they made one of the best signings of all time in Saquon Barkley, who could win the Associated Press NFL Most Valuable Player Award – the first time the award has been given to a running back since 2012. Those same Eagles also improved their defense, which was a problem the last time they made the big game, by adding two star rookies in Cooper Dejean and Quinyon Mitchell. The Eagles are back, better, and stronger than ever with vengeance in mind. If anyone could rip the Chiefs’ dream of a three peat apart, it’s the Eagles.

For most football games, halftime is just a bathroom break while old guys in suits talk for 20 minutes. But, the Super Bowl halftime is a full on concert with mega-celebrity performances.
This year, rapper Kendrick Lamar is the star of the halftime show. If you’re a fan of Lamar’s work, you would know hits like “Humble”, “Alright”, “Family Ties” with Baby Keem, “All The Stars” with SZA, and most recently, Grammy Song of The Year, “Not Like Us”. With SZA’s rapidly growing, massive fanbase, and his upbeat style in the song “Family Ties”, you shouldn’t be surprised if Lamar decides to have both of these talented artists at his side on the biggest stage of the year.
“Oh my god, if SZA comes out as a surprise appearance it would be almost as better as the Eagles winning,” siad Holley Habron while laughing.
Make sure to skip the restroom this year and watch Lamar’s surprises during the Apple Music Halftime Show.
32 teams, 2 left, and only one winner. This is the last game of yet another extraordinary football season. Both of these teams have something to prove. Can the Chiefs make history and get their three peat? Can the Eagles put the past behind them and soar their way to victory? Tune to Fox Sports or Tubi on February 9th, at 6:30pm to find out who will be crowned champion.
