On July 30th, 2024 Kamala Harris arrived in Atlanta for a summit on gun violence, and a Juneteenth political event. Days before Harris Walz campaign, it was glamorously announced, via Instagram Story, that Grammy winner Megan Thee Stallion would perform.
At the end of Megan’s roaring performance The Stallion shouted, “We are about to make history with the first black female president,” she ends her declaration with “Hotties for Harris!” Fired up the crown begins to chant along.
‘Hotties for Harris’ may seem “cringe” and “boomer-like” to hateful youtubers like Ben Shapiro, a man who tragically fell off and is desperately trying to regain relevance by criticizing two powerful, influential black females.
My generation and anyone with a pair of eyes can see that Megan the stallion’s performance was bold and ‘savage.’
“Did her usual routine of twerking and being shot in the foot.”
Shapiro clearly has not been to a Megan Thee Stallion concert. He illogically believes Megan “went on stage and rapped and presumably did her usual routine of twerking and being shot in the foot,” according to a recent Shapiro youtube post.
Megan The Stallion was never shot on stage, but on august 20th 2020 she was assaulted and shot in the foot by her ex, Tory Lanez.
Moments before performing, The stallion recorded a Tiktok with the current vice president, Kamala Harris. Before ending the Tik Tok, Kamala Harris says, “We are not going back,” referring to the end of her acceptance speech as The 2024 Democratic Presidential nominee. The Tik Tok has a booming 2.3 million likes.
Celebrities with Megan’s lioness-like personality draw in excitement and voters. Kamala Harris was quite calculated when she invited Megan to the Harris-Walz Campaign
In life there’s good press and bad press. With the huge amount of praise Kamala Harris and Megan the Stallion received, there was just as much backlash.
Two days after the rally during The Stallion’s Lollapalooza set, she took a break to address the backlash she received for performing at Harris’ campaign event.
“They were fake mad that I was popping it for Kamala,” she told the Chicago crowd after performing “Girls in the Hood.”
She goes on to praise Kamala Harris. “Kamala said she wants a ceasefire. Kamala said she supports women’s rights. Kamala said y’all tired of those high [f@#*ing] gas prices. Kamala said ‘I’m for the people.'” She ends her tribute with “Tonight I’m not giving y’all my lightest twerk. I’m giving y’all my hardest twerk in the [f@#*ing] rain,”
“It’s Hotties for Harris!”
